How to get more from referrals

How to Get more from referrals
Envato marketplaces offers you to refer new members and get 30% of their first deposit or purchase. That’s a great way for authors to earn extra money and in fact it works for anyone who signs up and creates account on Envato marketplaces. The referring process is easy- you just add your username at the end of the url (?ref=username or &ref=username) But then comes the hardest part. Where do you publish your referral links? Well, you might publish them in your blog, twitter, facebook, youtube, vimeo, forums and other places and wait for the “surfers” to click them. Plain link spam never works. You want to include them into relevant content that would be useful for readers. This time I want to share with you a quick trick how I do that.

Using this technique you can direct user straight to the marketplace and still offer him useful information that he or she wants to read. I create a blog post about subjects that might be interesting to After Effects users (see an example). This helps me attracting relevant auditory to my blog from search engines. Next thing – I republish the same blog post (or shorter version of it) either on my Marketplace profile page or create a Bookmark from some relevant files and use the blog post as part of the Bookmark’s description. Now if I want to link to the article from my twitter account, facebook or other social platform – I link directly to that Bookmark page or my profile page with included referral link. That way – instead of hoping that user will read my post and decide to click on some of the marketplace Ads -he already is directed to the marketplace. He reads the post. I get him listed as my referee and if he decides to sign up and make a purchase I earn the money. Using this technique you can direct user straight to the marketplace and still offer him useful information that he or she wants to read.
